파노라믹 가든 은 과거와 미래, 가상과 현실이 교차하는 환상의 정원을 구현한 작품이다. 1838년 찰스 휘트스톤 경에 의해 만들어진 입체경인 스테레오스코프를 재해석하여 AR원형장치구조물을 디자인하였으며, 미래적 이미지 재현장치에 대한 상상을 담고있다. 작품 내부의 AR원형장치구조물 안에는 실제 새가 존재하고, AR기기를 통해 가상의 새와 오브젝트들이 동시적으로 관람된다. 관객의 감정데이터에 따라 영상이 실시간으로 다르게 셋팅되어 나타나며 실제 공간에서 키네틱 오브젝트를 통해 공간에 미세한 변화가 나타나도록 함으로써 관객 내면의 풍경이 만들어내는 환상의 정원을 연출하였다.
Panoramic Garden is an immersive installation that envisions a dreamlike garden where past and future, reality and virtuality converge. Reimagining the stereoscope—an optical device invented in 1838 by Sir Charles Wheatstone—the work presents a circular AR structure as a speculative apparatus for future image projection.
Within the AR structure, a real bird is physically present, while virtual birds and other objects appear simultaneously through augmented reality devices. The visuals within the installation shift in real time according to the viewer’s emotional data, generating a dynamic interplay between the inner world and the surrounding environment.
As kinetic elements in the physical space respond to the emotional input, subtle spatial changes occur—shaping a garden that is not only seen but felt, a fantasy landscape formed by the viewer’s own internal state. Panoramic Garden becomes a sensorial threshold between temporalities and realities, where emotion, technology, and nature entangle to compose a new kind of ecological imaginary.
